Grace is Amazing
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Romans 5:6-10
The Bible tells us that just at the right time, when we were unable to do anything to help ourselves on our position with God, Jesus Christ died for us. Charles Spurgeon said, “Too many think lightly of sin, and therefore think lightly of the Savior. We try to explain away sin, we try to minimize our evil thoughts, words and actions, when we do that we are ultimately minimizing the greatness of God’s grace. Grace is not about God lowering His standards, is about God fulfilling His standards through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. Grace never ignores or contradicts the truth. Grace gives what truth demands which is the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ as a substitute for us. That is what makes grace so amazing!!!
