Loving Difficult People
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3 12-14
We all have people in our lives that we consider difficult to deal with. So what do we do? Our natural tendency is to avoid them or run away from them as much as possible. The difficult people are the people we should run toward instead of away. First, we should pray for our hearts. Next, we should pray for them. We should look for ways to be a blessing in their lives and show them the same love, mercy and grace that God has shown us. Sounds simple, let’s give it a try!
