I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. John 16:7
As children of God, the Holy Spirit is the great resource we have within. The Holy Spirit is that “Comforter” whom Jesus Christ sent to live within us. As children of God we have a permanent spiritual resource that helps us to live a life that is pleasing to God and something that would be impossible to do on our own. The standard for living our lives as children of God is far greater and way beyond anything our own efforts could ever produce. But the moment we surrender our life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He places the Holy Spirit within us. And now we have access to God anytime and most importantly all the time. That is the great “resource within” that we have. Praise God!
